- Planning Formulation Implementation Evaluation
- Environmental Scanning: Analyzing the external environment (macroeconomic factors,
industry trends, competitive landscape, technological advancements) to identify
opportunities and threats. Tools like PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological,
Legal, Environmental) and Porter’s Five Forces & others. - Internal Analysis: Evaluating the organization’s internal strengths and weaknesses. This
involves analyzing resources, capabilities, core competencies, and organizational
structure. SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) a common tool. - Stakeholder Analysis: Identifying and analyzing the needs and expectations of key
stakeholders (customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers, communities).

- Defining Vision, Mission, and Values:
- Vision: A long-term aspiration of what the organization wants to become.
